Carver's Spirit Week!

Carver is in a 4th-6th grade combination class at school. This week they are having Spirit Week. They dress up every day, have some fun games and prizes, and bring food in for a children's home in the area.

So far they have had Fast Food Day, Duct Tape Day, Fake Injury Day, and today was Jungle Day. Tomorrow will be spirit day. They are supposed to wear school colors. (Grey and maroon)

Anyway I have done a poor job of taking pictures but today I got one. This one was good.

A Friend comes for a Visit!

We had our friend Eddie Moore over on Tuesday evening for dinner. Here he is reading books to the kids. I made a new recipe that I got from Rachel Ray- Cobb Pasta Toss. It was pretty good! Even the kids liked it. I should have taken a picture! ): Anyway, the highlight of the night for the kids was the yummy ice cream that Mr. Eddie brought. (Reese's and Snickers) Mommy doesn't buy this kind of ice cream, so it was a special treat!

Cooper Cutie!

This afternoon, we were hanging out with Cooper and talking about how he is getting to be a big boy, and will be 4 before too long. To this he looked seriously at Danny and said, "Why is 3 taking so long?" Danny and I both laughed pretty hard. He then borrowed Daddy's reading glasses and posed for this picture. You can't really tell he's posing; can you? Ha!

Carver's thought on the President Elect

This morning when everyone woke up, I said, "Well, we have a new President". The kids said, "Who?". "Barak Obama", I said.
Then Carver said this, (which is exactly what I had been thinking when I woke up this morning); "Well, we have no choice, we have to respect him. 'Cause the Bible says respect your leaders and give thanks in all things." So, true!

November 2nd- Murray's Birthday

Murray blows out his candle. NOT!
Listen for Cooper's sweet little voice at the end.

Halloween 2008

It's terrible... I don't have a picture of Murray in his little pumpkin suit or Sadie. I'll have to take those pictures later. This 1st picture is of our friends Rod and Nikki Bakken. Nikki was (of course) Sarah Palin and Rod was a secret service person. The next pic is the kids chillin' out before we left for the Fall Festival at our church. Cooper and his friend Ryan found they were dressed as the same super hero. And Carver as the caped crusader- Batman. We had a very fun evening!

Sadie Loses Her 1st Tooth!

Sadie was so excited this last week when she lost her 1st tooth.
It's a good thing too; her permanent tooth is already coming in.
She received a shiny $1 coin from the tooth fairy.
I've reminded her that their are many more to come!
Anyway, she is growing up... her 7th birthday is right around the corner!
